4 more days..!!

If you are wondering "4 more days to what??".. Let me tell you, i am having my braces removed in 4 more days!! The metals are going off soon!! These appliances have been with me for 3 freaking years and soon it is going off!! Woooooot..!!

* Finally, chewing gum here i come!!

Absolutely ridiculous..!!

I would like to take this time to condemn a little bit about my college.. As you can see, i am a Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TARC) student.. I am okay with my studies so far, i am just a quite pissed off with the management of the marking scheme.. Don't know what i am talking about? I have done a little survey lately and this is what i found out.. :

1) Sunway College :-
* Assignments = 50%
* Examinations = 50%
* Overall passing mark = 50%

2) Taylors' College :-
* Assignments = 60%
* Examinations = 40%
* Overall passing mark = 50%

3) TAR College :-
* Assignments = 20%
* Examinations = 80%
* Overall passing mark = 50%

As you can see, normally assignments contribute at least half of the overall marks.. Except TAR College!! First of all, TARC students have more assignments compared to other colleges but the marks given is much lower than the other colleges!! If u said that it is becoz TARC is a government college therefore the marking scheme is different, well, that's bullshit!! They should stick to the actual college level marking scheme.. I work my ass off and didn't even study for around 2 months to finish my assignments which only contributes a friggin' 20 marks!! Plus, we have to study more subjects in a semester compared to the students from other colleges!!

* I think TAR College can do better than this, change the stupid scheme!! At college level, it is all about application and courseworks, not secondary examinations!! At least give the students more marks for the assignments and don't put so much burden on the examinations, it isn't rational!!

Drawings, drawings, drawings & more drawings..!!!

This week we were assigned to draw a set of working drawings based on the 1st project which is the model i did earlier this month.. Normal drawings and workings aren't the same, working drawings are like drafts which are going to be used by contractors, engineers and draftsmen to interpret the characteristics of the building.. These are a set of drawings i drew yesterday, it took me quite some time to finish it as neatness contributes to the marks..

* the plan view of my model..

* the front elevation..

* the rear elevation..

* the cross-section of the model..

* the door schedule..

* the window schedule.. (there's only one of it.. haha!)

Although manual drafting take up lots of our time, but it is still important as one needs to learn the actual way before drafting a drawing using the computer (AutoCAD).. Well, this is just one part of my assignments, i have a few more and all of it is due next week..!!

Steamboat-ing in the breeze..

Had steamboat in King's room 3 days ago as he was gonna get out from hostel soon.. As he was gonna leave, he said why not all the hostel dudes have a last steamboat gathering before he leaves.. Jonathan, King, Wei De, Sheryl and I were there on that day.. Had a really stuffed-up dinner + supper as we had lots of extra food..

* all the gadgets used to cook..
steamboat pot, two rice cookers and an egg boiler..

* left-over food and more stuff..

Plus, i found out something cool when we were in the room talking.. I found out that it is impossible to break an egg with these two ways.. Check it out and try it..! :

* apply pressure using your fingers only on both tips of the egg..

* just get a tight grip on the egg and then try crushing the egg by squeezing it..

* It is impossible to break an egg with these two ways, scientifically proven that by applying pressure on both sides or around an object will repel the forces right across it.
Thus, : Force = Resistance Force..!!

Mystiquel Night...

* staring into the light..

Well, i went to a prom or a formal night last Sunday and it is weird that i only posted about it a few days later.. Have been busy being an architect for the past few days, assignments piling up and i don't even have time to study..
Back to the Mystiquel Night.. I went to this event with Sheryl and King.. This particular event was organized by the people from the School of Business Studies of TAR College..
First of all, the stage was pretty cool, the lights and stuff were great.. They did a pretty good job decorating it plus the lighting were great too.. The 1st performance was pretty cool, they had a band which are seniors performing "Fall For You" by Secondhand Serenade and some of their own songs..

* King, Sheryl and Bryan..

Then there was a dude on stage and he is a magician as told by the host.. As usual, i was pretty excited about it as i love magic myself! And on that day i witnessed the worst magician in my life!! He was a disgrace to all magicians! He got boo-ed of the stage!! He did some cliche shit with ropes and some cheap bags!!
Next there was the prom king and queen voting as usual, i didn't care about it actually.. After that, there was another band and they played a few songs for a period of time.. Finally, they cleared the floor to make space for the students to dance and all as a dance floor..
Overall, the night was pretty cool, it isn't as bad as i thought and isn't really good too.. I just can't get over the lousy magician who really sucked!! Anyways, the event isn't half bad and it was pretty good..

* a herd of lions or a tree of lions..?

* just a pile of rocks..? look closer and NEIGH..!!

* can you see its guardian in the woods..?

* wolf or wolves..?

* a King in one's palm..

* flipping around a flipper cave..

* polar wonders..

* riding on an edge of the cliff..

* feminine mustangs..

* notice the butterfly..?

Sweet Model O' Mine..!!

Last week, my class was assigned to complete a task.. That particular task was to build a model of a single-bedroom quarter or what we call the studio room in scale.. I started planning the shape and plan on Wednesday as we got the task was given on Tuesday, i started drawing my plan and other views in order to show me the shape what my model is gonna look like.. On Thursday, me and my pals went to Taman Melawati to get some materials and stuffs to build it.. And i started working my ass off on Saturday! This is how it looks like after i am done..:

* in the process of building my model..

* a free-hand drawing of the perspective view..

* plan view of my studio model.. isn't she beautiful?? *sniff sniff*

* another view from the top..

* the front view..

* the rear view..

* the main entrance / foyer..

* the entrance door..

* the bedroom door..

* the toilet door.. folding!

* the living room..

* the living room window..

* the kitchen and dining area.. cute eh??

* the kitchen window..

* the bathroom / water closet..

* the bedroom.. cool eh??

* another view of the bedroom..

* the balcony linked to the bedroom..

Looks small and easy, but it took me lots of time to complete this model..! It took me around 30 hours and sleepless nights to finish this plus i spent almost RM40 to buy all the materials.. I am satisfied with it though and i am God damn happy about it.. Finally, i am done!!

An apple a day keeps the doctor away..

a dozen of Big Apple makes one drool,

one can go ga-ga and become a fool,

craving for it is ordinary,

coz every flavor has its story,

Alien, Hazelnut, Glacier and Snowy,

by looking at those for hours won't make you drowsy,

taste of these round and brown,

will definitely not let you down,

be thankful for every bite you take,

coz these things ain't easy to bake..

*had Big Apple donuts for dinner,

the more i consume it, it seems to make me thinner,

no matter how many i consume,

there are still no changes i assume..

*had Big Apple for breakfast this morning,

donuts in my stomach is still churning,

this is why a dozen of donuts,

can make you crave for more and go nuts!

Graduant from England..??! You sure..??!

A situation when a group of students were talking to a lecturer from TARC on some issues.. This happened a few months back when i was in my 1st semester..

Ms. T : Why are these books here on the floor? Where is the course representative?

Student Z : Errr.. Today the course rep. isn't here, and we don't really know whose books are they..

Ms. T : Owh.. Then you should take it to the office to let them keep it 1st..

Student Z : Yes, i will bring it downstairs now..

*A student runs towards the lecturer..

Student F : Ermmm, Ms. T.. These are our books, we forgot to take it when we left just now..

Ms. T : *shouts* Ehhhh!! Z!! The books are THEM WAN!!! Bring it back!!

Student B : *scoff scoff* Errr.. Ms. T.. These books are THEIRS is it?

Ms. T : *with an embarrassed look* Yea yea, it is theirs..

Student B : *laughing behind with a few pals* What the f...??

Let me wrap this up for you..:

~ My wan - Mine..

~ His wan - His..

~ Her wan - Hers..

~ THEM WAN - Theirs..!

Well, as you can see.. Lecturers who are graduated from England isn't always so good in English.. All i can say is, buck up your English before teaching us! Or you will be a big freaking laughing stock to us students!

*take some English lessons at least! Or just stop teaching us in English if u ain't that good at it!*
